About us

Antimatter is a motion design studio founded in 2010 where selected talents work together to produce high end animations and great stories. Our mission is to explain ideas, provoke emotions, rise interest and engage the public.
Whether you’re an agency, an established brand or startup, we can commit with you, bringing in our technical and creative skills to produce content to help your message to stand out.



Our approach

When a new project comes in, we select the designers that best fit the skillset needed. Our goal is to be a motion partner to our clients, adjusting and adapting to their needs. Although most of our work focuses on the tech and innovation field, we’ve gathered experience over the years in most commercial fields.
Our services include creative direction, storytelling and narrative, design, animation and motion graphics. 

We also develop motion systems for branding, building animated toolkits and creating motion languages in UX/UI adapted to each client.


Our team

We are a small team of illustrators, motion designers and traditional animators that share a collective passion and a modern approach to design and storytelling. When six pairs of hands are not enough, we rely on our roster of trusted freelancers who we’ve worked with over the years.

Antimatter is Emanuele Colombo, Joana Gonçalves, Simone Di Rocco e Stefano Malerba.
We truly believe in the power of storytelling and we work hard to build a perfect match between your message and our visuals to create a memorable story.

OpenAI DevDay

We collaborated on the branding experience for OpenAI DevDay 2025, working closely with the Studio Dumbar team.
The project explored how interaction and play could become an integral part of the event identity, extending the visual system beyond static applications and into the physical space of the venue.







Spotify Wrapped 2025

This year we had the chance to join the Spotify Design team as Rive animators on Wrapped 2025.
Wrapped is a massive project that involves creatives, designers, engineers, data scientists, product managers and many other people across different teams at Spotify.





Notion AI Assistant

This project consisted in the characterization and animation of the new Notion AI assistant, together with the lovely team at Buck.
The goal was to give this digital companion a clear personality while keeping it versatile across different contexts.
